why is this article on the main page? this can hardly be considered world news. - mylesmalley
- Wikinews at this time makes no distinction between local news and world news. The general thought is that at some point the volume of published articles will reach a level where it will be beneficial to not display local stories on the main page. - If Wikinews made the distinction for local and world news it would have been local, but it doesnt.
