exageration?

[edit]

are we sure about that? Neutralizer 16:53, 17 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Well, shoot, it may be a little POV, but I have a computer degree, I saw some of the TV coverage, and boy did they blow this thing out of proportion, at first, anyway. That's what inspired me to write the article. Of course, maybe this worm will end up being the Internet Armegeddon, and the article will then look foolish. Tom vC 19:23, 17 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Also, I don't mean to say I'm taking full credit, at all. I did most of the writing and started the article. But at the same time, other people contributed and helped a lot. My writing and thinking got pretty sloppy last night; I was staying up too late doing this :P. Also, I think there was a mistake early on--other people's articles of the worm were deleted and referred to this article when this article's specific topic was CNN's coverage and its relation to the worm rather that simply the worm. And man, I also wish I had a transcript from CNN's broadcast... Tom vC 19:31, 17 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hey CNN, Who's Your Daddy?

[edit]

Ok, maybe this isn't the kind of headline that garners journalistic respect and Pulitzers. But in the interests of full disclosution, I had to say my inner feelings, in a way a typical old media journalist would hide. And check it out, Wikinews did better work than the befuddled mainstream press IMHO. Although, I hate to see too much anti-establishment tomfoolery, so this post is somewhat TIC (tongue-in-cheek).
