When I saw this headline, I thought after opening the story that I would be banging the keys to add news ( I didn't)... -Edbrown05 02:56, 9 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

"Cheney argued that [the CIA] needs an exemption from the ban on 'cruel, inhumane or degrading' treatment of detainees in United States custody to be effective in the 'war on terrorism', although he also said that the United States does not engage in torture."

Is it just me, or does this sentence completely defy logic? If someone asks for an exemption from a ban on torture, doesnt it follow that they plan on using torture? Cheney isn't fooling anyone. Riggermantis 20:03, 9 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

cheney

[edit]

I wish cheney would experience some "cruel, inhumane or degrading" treatment.

vice president

[edit]

Isn't Joe Biden the current vice president ???

Not at the time this article was published. Cheney was the vice president as of 2005. Tempodivalse [talk] 14:07, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
