News?[edit]

I hate to play the cynic, but a description of a two-year-old, ongoing corporate advertising campaign really doesn't feel newsworthy to me. Rob T Firefly 16:56, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

True. While it is a commendable and novel campaign (and possibly even sincere), it is not exactly newsworthy, especially since, as you note, it has been going on for a while. -- Phyzome is Tim McCormack 15:30, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, yes it news to people outside the US. We have no way of knowing what goes on in America except the news reports in foreign press, foreign TV or via the WWW. Sometimes the WWW is the only place where you receive the truth (or not), especially wiki. TGC55 18:49, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, it is a new commercial within the overall campaign. As evidenced, it was "debuted" on a major national morning show, to likely over a million Americans and Canadians. -- Zanimum 18:58, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
ummm, I agree that its not news. It seems like an advertisement for an advertisement to me. There isn't an article when someone makes an anti-drunk driving ad, I don't really understand how this is different Bawolff ☺☻ 02:30, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Post-mortem[edit]

BTW, this has since been featured in 60 newspapers, plus on the front page of The Toronto Star, Canada's highest circulation newspaper. It has been viewed on YouTube over 3,059,546 times among dozens of copies. -- Zanimum 19:23, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
