Talk:Former U.S. President Clinton stumps for Obama, Franken in Minneapolis
OR Notes[edit]
I was there. Took a lot of pictures. Will be uploading those soon. I'm relying on memory backed up by reports by the AP/local newspapers/tv stations. —Calebrw (talk) 05:18, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Headline: Doesn't everyone know who Bill Clinton is?[edit]
Surely the headline should just say "Bill Clinton stumps..." instead of "Former US President Clinton stumps..."? After all, if some reader doesn't know who Bill Clinton is, it's quite unlikely that they'll know who "Franken" is. So if the headline has to identify Clinton in this extended and overprecise way, then shouldn't it say "...stumps for current US Presidential candidate Obama, current US Senate candidate from Minnesota Franken in current US city Minneapolis, current US state Minnesota, current nation United States of America"? I would change it myself (to the short version with "Bill Clinton"), except that (a) I'm not sure of Wikinews norms, and (b) it looks like changing a headline moves the article, which is more than I want to deal with doing right now. But I do think this headline is silly and should be changed. --current US reader Jed (Wikipedia username elysdir; no Wikinews account) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.180.175.216 (talk) 16:37, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- Good point, but no time to change at the present. —Calebrw (talk) 17:57, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
