OR notes

[edit]

I wrote this article based on the PDF and original Wikipedia post. I am also contacting the deputy head of Kansas Homeland Security for a statement. Dendodge T\C 20:25, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why Kansas? What do they have to do with Indiana? 75.168.140.67 (talk) 22:38, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
We have their contact details, and it would be interesting to see what another state thinks. Dendodge T\C 22:40, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Oh. That was me by the way. I can confirm via the scoop that emails were sent. Calebrw (talk) 22:42, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Indiana Department of Homeland Security

[edit]

An attempt to contact Indiana Department of Homeland Security (Kansas???) should be made, to receive a comment from them, before this is allowed to be published. Cirt (talk) 19:56, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kansas was my idea, purely on the basis I happened to have contact for someone fairly senior and 'I'm sticking by them' or 'I think this is highly unprofessional of this state' would be very interesting. I did mention we need to go through the front door for Indiana; I don't know if that's been done. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 20:03, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
http://www.in.gov/dhs/ = contact info is that way... Cirt (talk) 20:16, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Dendodge: Done that yet? If not, I'm happy to. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 20:18, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Just contacted Media Relations a second ago. Dendodge T\C 20:21, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Excellent, thanks! Cirt (talk) 20:23, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Kansas? Why bother Kansas? They have no jurisdiction over Indiana. If anything, the United States Department of Homeland Security should have been contacted...Smallman12q (talk) 21:10, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Like I said, be interesting if he kicks his fellows in the nuts over this. If it was going through the press address, then no, but I already had contact details for someone at the top. His opinion on this is news - or has the potential to be. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 21:17, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

List terms

[edit]

Perhaps the terms that were copied should be listed somewhere?Smallman12q (talk) 20:52, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

You seem to know your way around this best. If you'd like to put together a list (either here or in the article), I'm sure we can do something with it. If you can't I maybe could, but it would most likely take me a lot longer. Dendodge T\C 21:19, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
It might be best, considering you are mentioned in the article, that you post it on this talk page, not in the article itself. — μ 21:26, Sunday January 31 2010 (UTC)
I did wonder about that. It probably would be better, but I'm not sure it's a big deal, TBH. Dendodge T\C 21:41, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Taken from my village pump post... It uses 7 terms from Wikipedia: Racial Profiling, USA PATRIOT Act, Bigotry, Internment, Terrorism, Counter-terrorism, The War on Terrorism.
(For those who can't count)

  1. Racial Profiling
  2. USA PATRIOT Act
  3. Bigotry
  4. Internment
  5. Terrorism
  6. Counter-terrorism
  7. The War on Terrorism

Smallman12q (talk) 21:45, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

That's in paragraph 2. Dendodge T\C 22:21, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Could someone please add to the "sources" section a link to my comments at User talk:Dendodge/Jan 10#RFC for Indiana Department of Homeland Security violates Wikipedia copyright from which the quotes are taken? Thanks!Smallman12q (talk) 23:00, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Question...

[edit]

I couldn't see on the user page if "smallman12q" was infact male (The article uses "he"). Is this correct? 150.250.43.209 (talk) 04:35, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I guessed based on the "man" part of his name, and he has spoken to me on my talk page, as well as reading and commenting on this article, so I presume he would have corrected me had he, in fact, been a she. Δενδοδγε τ\c 12:30, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
As the name implies, smallman12q is indeed a he=D.Smallman12q (talk) 22:09, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
