Freon or Halon ?
[edit]The gas being named as Freon is probably eroneous. Freon is used for air conditioning and is known to have very toxic products when exposed to fire so It would be a stupid design choice to employ it in a fire supression system.
Halon type gases are a common fire extinguishment, when properly dispersed they will suppress a fire and leave a breathable atmosphere, apart from some byproducts at the fire scene.
Two more likley accident sceanrios
- massive freon leak from the air conditioning system - accidental dump of halon with an excessive concentration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.68.37.83 (talk) 23:22, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
