Roman Catholic church[edit]

Why was In the past, academics affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church have asserted the rates of sexual abuse and paedophilia among Roman Catholic priests are no higher than those among protestants or other religions. In Japan Temple earnings are taxfree and hence it is a big business. And so often the priests are rich and influential people. This is in stark contrast with the principles of Buddhism which believe in giving up everything to lead a peaceful life. Buddha would surely feel sad to see these unscrupulous guys who claim to be the custodians of his religious beliefs. --Rogerp 18:21, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
