Pink Floyd
[edit]They don't seem to be in the 'Line Up' on the page. They are playing, right?
- I think they are going to perform this night, European time (at least I heard so on TV). Väsk 2 July 2005 15:16 (UTC)
a bit biased
[edit]change the trade laws so they can build their own future -anything more specific?
also, can someone add info on corruption in Africa and how aid is sometimes wasted.
Yeah, the 'three points' came direct from the Live8live site - I see no need to re-write their aims, and we need to explain the point of the concerts.
A bit down from that it say: The Finance Ministers of the G8 agreed a plan last month to cancel the debt of 18 of the poorest countries to the IMF, the World Bank and the African Development Fund, but are requiring other countries to end political and financial corruption before they become elegible for debt relief. Original Reporting?
[edit]Who did the original reporting and where are the notes? --RossKoepke 5 July 2005 08:40 (UTC)
Lap of Luxury??
Why do people performers at this show dine in luxury, while claiming they are trying to make leaders aware of poverty? Weren't they all given expensive gift bags (worth $12000) for performing? Don't you think the money used to support their egos could have been used in a more constructive manner for under-developed nations?
Thanks Wikipedia, for keeping censorship alive and well!!
German Link
[edit]The link tu de.wikinews is wrong. The correct title ist „Live-8“ - „Keine Wohltätigkeit, sondern Gerechtigkeit!”.--cyper 10:37, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
