sources and OR[edit]

i find no mention of the incident on other news sources and (in a preliminary search of) the underground website. can the reporter post some OR notes on the talk page, as per Wikinews:Original reporting or point to any independent confirmation of the events? i'll be unpublishing the article pending such a confirmation. Thanks for the update, please note that I have included pictures of some scenes described in the incident, which corroborate its veracity. In addition I have contacted the Underground press office for a confirmation. I am expecting to hear back from them soon, but given the current situation regarding the ongoing terror alert story at the airports, they may have their hands full at the moment. I would recommend, therefore, to be patient with the additional evidence that is due to be available for this story, rather than deleting it in a hurry. What I can provide, at this time, upon request, are additional pictures documenting the incident. I am also providing the contact information for the Underground press office, which you may of course contact yourself:

Please put whatever you're allowed to from what you get up. May need to double-check the media line as well, but this is looking like a good story. --Brian McNeil / talk 20:26, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, for now I included the statement from the press office for the British Transport Police that they sent me and published the article. This isn't lead story of course but it is part of the greater (developing) story regarding safety/security on public transportation in London, although it's not terrorism related. What was noteworthy about this? Was this person pushed under the train? (occasionally it happens, either because someone's deranged, or even the occasional murder). Suicides are nothing very noteworthy - on average there's one every week. -- Arwel 12:22, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
