Scales and sizes of Earthquakes
[edit]"Large" is usually not used in measuring quakes. On the Richter scale 6.4 would be called "strong". The scale you reference is the "next generation" of the Richter-scale, but the wikipage does not have a similar breakdown. I am not a geologist, but it seems the choice of adjectives can be critical in stories like this. Cheers, --SVTCobra 02:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- And it's not even a particularly strong earthquake for the Western United States. I would move it to "moderate." I will right now, actually. TheCustomOfLife 09:14, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
