Underlying illnesses
[edit]I feel that somewhere in this article it should be mentioned that the three people who died in america already had severe underlying illnesses. it just feels relevant. --92.4.3.24 (talk) 23:49, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
WHO website
[edit]The WHO article about this mutation states that certain medications are still effective (oseltamivir and zanamivir). This completely contradicts the Wikinews article, also different mutations are mentioned. Snoxhall (talk) 01:35, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Resistance
[edit]"mutation is resistant to current treatments for H1N1 such as tamiflu, oseltamivir and zanamivir". The mutations found so far are not resistant to zanamivir, but are resistant to oseltamivir (=tamiflu).
Title
[edit]"Mutated strain" is pretty meaningless as a headline. "Drug resistent swine flu spreads" would be a better headline. Also seen in Wales, by the way: [1] 87.115.68.241 (talk) 23:10, 21 November 2009 (UTC) (User:AndrewRT)
