Talk:Netanyahu pushed previous prime minister Olmert to attack Iran, according to Wikileaks cables
Add topicSourcing
[edit]Technically, Wikinews articles ought to have two sources about the news event itself - in this case, two sources covering the newly publicised cable. Obviously, in this case we're looking at an exclusive from one paper, but what would be really cool is if you could find the original cable online and source from it. This also allows you to quote directly from it and then cite it as an original source document - which would give us our own original report. Re Sourcing
[edit]I spent a long while browsing the Wikileaks cables to try and locate the document in question. It doesn't appear to be there. I can only assume that it hasn't been released online yet (it seems that leaks tend to be channeled through mainstream media outlets before they make their way onto the Wikileaks site in original form, which is frustrating!)
