So, um, do we get some notes to explain the origin of this story? - Borofkin 06:56, 7 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. Wikinewsy Ardonik and Chiacomo were invited to participate in an IRC interview with some DirectNIC staff. The interview is still ongoing, though wrapping up. During the interview the 82nd Airborne came to visit the DirectNIC office, and the staff there reported the events to us over the IRC. - Amgine
Of course!
User:Amgine and User:Ardonik interviewed members of the interdictor (DirectNIC/Outpost Crystal & other volunteers) team via IRC September 7 beginning just before 0400 UTC. During the interview, the offices of DirectNIC in New Orleans were visited by the 82nd Airborne -- which interupted the interview for about 20 minutes. I happened to be watching the interview. --Chiacomo (talk) 07:05, 7 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
Chiacomo: Please make sure this gets posted on WORTNET (in the OR template) so it can be translated? - Amgine
By all means, translate it so those in Oregon can read it. (SEWilco 07:20, 7 September 2005 (UTC))Reply

There's a picture on interdictor's blog of the actual 82nd Airborne troopers who visited them. Should we perhaps post that instead? Brent Dax 21:57, 7 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

'Outpost Crystal'

I would like to understand better what this group is, and what they are doing. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Edbrown05 (talkcontribs) 22:54, 7 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

They are an Internet computer service group who worked really hard to keep their service, and a New Orleans link to the Internet, running. Details are being prepared. (SEWilco 04:35, 8 September 2005 (UTC))Reply
