There is a picture here: [1]. I doubt it is free, but thought I would bring it to attention. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 17:40, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

The quote from Bob Dye came from an e-mail he sent me. I sent this:

The quote from Bob Dye was sourced from an e-mail he sent to me. I sent him this: Does Apache have any comment regarding today's oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, given that Apache is in the middle of acquiring the company that owns the rig?

Thanks in advance,

Paul Wace,

Wikinews journalist

Paul,

The incident occurred on a producing platform, not a drilling rig, which is operated by Mariner Energy. Apache and Mariner agreed to merge in April, 2010 however the transaction has not yet closed so Mariner remains the operator of this platform and will have the latest information regarding this incident. I suggest you call Patrick Cassidy at Mariner Energy for updates at 713-954-5558.

Sincerely,

Bob Dye

Apache Corporation
