[edit]

I went with StatoilHydro's estimate of the spill over the BBC's, which is the larger of the two. I figured, a) StatoilHydro probably knows more accurately, and b) if anyone would be tempted to underestimate it'd be those responsible. I also translated a bit of Norwegian and Swedish from the listed sources, in my edits of this article. --SVTCobra 00:56, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The name of the ship that was involved in the oil spill is not Navion Britannica but Navion Britannia. I know this since i earlier this fall wrote a paper at Kalmar Maritime Academy about the very loading system that caused the spill. A google search on the right name gives a lot of hits on sites that regards the ship, while a search on the faulty one only gives hits on newspaper articles about the accident. So that the ship's name is said to be Brittanica is because of missunderstanding. 85.226.130.150 17:42, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Done I believe you are correct. The name Navion Britannia is used on StatoilHydro's press release. I made the change. Cheers, Jcart1534 17:54, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
