They have admitted to using a prettier girl to lip-sync a song and that the overhead shot of fireworks was CGI. This has been all over the place for a few days. It is not like it was a NYT exclusive. --SVTCobra 15:44, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected the article. Anonymous101talk 16:24, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, I had thought it was more exclusive, especially since I didn't see any other related news. Calebrw (talk) 21:41, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They used a better singer with a better voice for the real singing; you can look at it that way, too (the article clearly states that Lin was at first intended to sing, but they then decided to replace her voice). The fireworks thing was definately well-faked, at least - but wasn't there one directly over the stadium? Surely that one must have been real, or the spectators would have suspected something was up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.179.29.253 (talk) 05:47, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know that. I didn't want to publish it, as there was a point to my comments. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 22:18, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, but you could easily have done the rename yourself and then published. Anyway ... it's water under the bridge. --SVTCobra 22:28, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
