Thanks for the peer review!

[edit]

Not sure how detailed you want to get in the WP linking, but I want to point out that w:Oregon Ducks football and w:Boise State Broncos football articles exist. Also, I arrive having worked on the Wikipedia article extensively first – and should point out, there are lots of sources listed over there, and if this one seems light on sources, I will gladly move 'em over. -Peteforsyth (talk) 05:32, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Alternate headline

[edit]

How about:

Running back LeGarrette Blount's college football career ends with a punch

? It mentions both "football" and the player's name, which are both pretty important. -Peteforsyth (talk) 05:48, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

'Oregon college running back LeGarrette Blount's football career ends with a punch' ? The location is probably a good idea too. Dunno, headlines are always problematic. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 05:50, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I moved "college" because saying his entire football career is over is probably a stretch. Otherwise, that looks pretty good to me! -Peteforsyth (talk) 05:55, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sourcing

[edit]

I'm not going to review this because I don't have a clue about the sport, being a Scot, and because I simply couldn't read the sources without drifting off. However, I did skim the sources and didn't see any obvious mention of the suspension, which is, I thought, the whole point of this story. Yikes, how did I miss that??! I just added two sources that should address this. Thanks for pointing it out! -Peteforsyth (talk) 18:18, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

He played

[edit]

Should the article mention that he played in 2009 after being reinstated? I mean he no longer has less than 1,000 yards in his career at Oregon.--24.58.220.174 (talk) 22:48, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Per WN:ARCHIVE no, it shouldn't. Ideally we would have had an entire followup article, but there isn't one. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 22:49, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
