OR notes

[edit]

Again, like my last OR (School bus crashes ...), I found the story at The Journal News website. This time, I went over to the scene at lunch time, since the event was scheduled for noon, and stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the MSM getting pictures of the protest. The young ladies were kind enough to pose for me even though I just had a camera phone. I took additional pictures to document the police presence and media circus. --SVTCobra 17:22, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I published this as a brief, just so that it was timely. I have more, including more pictures, but that will have to wait until after work. --SVTCobra 18:24, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, I have expanded on my observances at this protest. I also added the gallery with more pictures. It was really just a laid back affair. Nothing like other anti-Burberry protests where PETA has invaded the store and smeared fake blood on the windows from the inside. Other media presence included WNBC, WABC and News 12. Their reports will probably come out this evening. I don't want to add them to sources (since they aren't) but maybe I'll list them here for your amusement. --SVTCobra 22:22, 11 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • The Journal News follow-up article [1]
  • News 12 story [2]

So far I haven't seen stories from the "big boys" maybe they dropped it for lack of excitement. --SVTCobra 09:11, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • WCBS-TV checks in with this [3]
  • Men's News Daily picked up the Wikinews coverage [4]

That's what I could find as of now. --SVTCobra 22:36, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
