I hate it when this happens: the article states "AP reports", but our sources are Fox and the BBC - hmmm, third-hand news, nice :-) ! Editors may want to check AP themselves.... Dan100 (Talk) 12:01, August 16, 2005 (UTC)

Well, Fox News syndicates AP articles that's why i wrote "AP reports". I wasn't able to find a AP story on Yahoo e.g. at the time, so took the Fox News link. --Deprifry 12:06, August 16, 2005 (UTC)

AP website like these of Reuters

[edit]

AP has a website like these of Reuters, if someone find it, a link to the report about this should be added to the article. --ThomasK 13:01, 16 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it's possible to get AP news directly from AP. The small ticker they have on their website only links to newspapers across the US which syndicate their stories. --Deprifry 13:14, August 16, 2005 (UTC)

I was on this AP website, however I forgot to bookmark it. Now I can not find this site. It has a similar adress as hosted.ap.org. Maybe they closed it, but I don't think so. --ThomasK 13:27, 16 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

MD-80 or MD-82?

[edit]

Was the flight an MD-80 or MD-82? just read a norwegian newspaper which said MD-80... 80.202.87.177 15:05, 16 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

I believe MD-80 is the series while MD-82 is a specific model. See MD-80. --Deprifry 15:09, August 16, 2005 (UTC)
More sources saying MD-82 now.. guess it's allright then.. Minto 16:10, 16 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

New edit

[edit]

This requires some sort of link - in text, Wikipediapar, or both - to w:West Caribbean Airways Flight 708, and also, the Greek airline crash should be linked to w:Helios Airways Flight 522 too - to avoid changing the text, maybe the words "an airline crash" could be linked? Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 11:57, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, good point. Added both to the article. -- IlyaHaykinson 01:16, 26 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
