New title request

[edit]

I know it's a little late but... this was my first Wikinews article, and as you probably noticed, I had a few things to learn during its submission. However, I feel badly about the title. It is not perfectly accurate, although that is what some of the other new agencies are saying. I have read the academic article that defines this new species, and they are not dubbing it as a "last common ancestor." (Even the BBC News article explains this.) Instead, they are saying that is was a very close relative of the last common ancestor. That can be stated succinctly... but not without using specialist terminology.

When I wrote the news article, I was worried about it being rejected because of a overly lengthy title. Therefore I chose to simplify a little... much like the other news agency do. However, I'm beginning to regret the title I chose. Can it be renamed, and if so, can you please help me select a more appropriate title? I'm not sure exactly what length the title is restricted to. – VisionHolder « talk » 00:42, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
