This needs to be addressed in the lead: When did the judge sentence Kearins? Beyond that, "After being initially charged with murder," when did that event take place? Also, "Kearins gave a guilty plea for the lesser charge of culpable homicide." when did that event take place? Otherwise, once this article answers these questions of when, I think it is pretty close to being good to go. Questions about the above? Ask.
