Comments by reviewer: This looks really good. The article though does not answer when. This needs to be addressed in the lead: When did the judge sentence Kearins? Beyond that, "After being initially charged with murder," when did that event take place? Also, "Kearins gave a guilty plea for the lesser charge of culpable homicide." when did that event take place? Otherwise, once this article answers these questions of when, I think it is pretty close to being good to go. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}).
