English[edit]

Question: Please introduce yourself. Who you are? Where are you from?
Answer: My name is Denis Alekseevich Kovalchuk. I am from Buryatia. Buryat State University, Medical Institute.

Q: What year do you study?
A: The sixth. It turns out that I have been interested in neurosurgery for a very long time, from the first year, since I became acquainted with this area. Last year, as I learned that such an Olympiad would take place, I immediately applied.

Q: Last year you studied in the fifth year?
A: Oh yeah.

Q: So you are already a student, 5 courses have been taught and decided to study more if you are lucky?
A: Oh yeah. It turns out that last year was not enough. I sent the first stage, in the second stage I still could not win. This year also came to try again to participate. Maybe even this year will turn out.

Q: I see. What experience did last time give?
A: The last time was a colossal experience. Because, given that I am from Buryatia ... In Buryatia, the neurosurgery is not at the highest level. Arriving here, I saw what kind of laboratory here, what kind of hospital. Everything is at a very high level, I really liked it. I got acquainted with a large number of, so to speak, colleagues of the future. That allowed us to further create a community of young neurosurgeons, I am one of its members.

Q: It exists in what form?
A: Well, it turns out that we communicate through social networks. Someone, for example, asks a question (something needs help) - we, who knows, offers his answers. Helping with literature.

Q: And the core is how many people are there?
A: At the moment, as far as I know, somewhere around 400 people are exactly. - Дмитрий Кошелев (talk) 18:20, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
