Map[edit]

Once again this is not a date-stamped map on Commons; they will update as they see fit and not respect our use in reference to a specific date. --Brian McNeil / talk 17:58, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So what should we do? Dottydotdot (talk) 18:29, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If the map hasn't been updated since the date of our article then copy it in it's entirety and make under a "<name> as at <date>.<extension>" version. Somewhere in the documentation link to this article as justification for having the new version which should not be updated.
This happens from time to time, last it happened was more obvious as it was the global spread map and several countries were added in a matter of days after our article was published. That was more problematic getting old versions of the image to use. And, while the date is important, preferable to use {{image credit}} for all images not in infoboxes. --Brian McNeil / talk 18:37, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Aha OK I understand-unfortunately I can't download images from where I am to reupload it-any chance you could(or someone else)? Cheers! Dottydotdot (talk) 19:21, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
