I figured what the hell, let's rewrite a press release for fun and practice :) Sherurcij 01:32, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, you do need a second source. --SVTCobra 02:40, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not if the first one is a press release, then it's just borderline OR ;) Sherurcij 02:41, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, a press release is even worse as a single source. The source can only be relied on representing their own POV. --SVTCobra 03:05, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I checked Wikinews:Cite sources, it says nothing about requiring other press releases - and factsheets tend not to offer a "POV" - any other articles written about the subject would be identically-written based off the single press release. This is how "rewriting press releases" works. Sherurcij 07:33, 11 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, not a second press release but a second source. For instance, would you feel good about writing an article that is entirely based on a press release from the CCA? Wouldn't you want to check what they say against some other source? --SVTCobra 02:49, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
If the article is "CCA announces baptism of three new members", yes. Sherurcij 20:21, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
