I contacted the Highways Agency traffic information service phone number. (I called at around 1900 my time - that is 1800 UTC)

I made the following notes:

• Road now reopened
• Junctions 14 to 17 southbound heavily congested
• Junctions 13 to 15 northbound heavily congested
• Highways Agency: You should do all possible to avoid this road until 19:30 local time (18:30 UTC)
