Maybe we could make it static so then if say 6 months from now, your looking back at an article, you could see what else happened at the same time. Bawolff ☺☻ 23:30, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hrm, would it require a seperate box for each day or could the template be modified to include the date as part of the template call string? --Chiacomo (talk) 23:42, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I think I could modify it... Bawolff ☺☻ 00:37, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm trying with template:iff so that if no arguments are given it will just display the current day like it is now, but if an argument is given it will display that day. Bawolff ☺☻ 01:18, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Please see [1] and WP:AUM. If-templates have been disabled on the Pedia due to severe performance and security issues so using them here might not be such a good idea. --Deprifry|+T+ 13:56, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh well, I couldn't get the if template to work anyway. We proably shouldn't be using meta templates as well, but their so useful. (I whish they didn't hate meta templates, they make life so much easier). Bawolff ☺☻ 02:44, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I created a static version at template:Wikinews Today infobox/static but it didn't seem to work. Will look into later (I have to go at the moment). Bawolff ☺☻ 23:12, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
