President Barack Obama said: "We shouldn't have a bunch of politicians, a majority of whom are men, making health care decisions on behalf of women." Doesn't Obama want the politicians to run health care? I thought that was the main idea of "Obama care" ...

As I understand it, the main idea behind the Obamacare was to give people the ability to make a decision regarding their healthcare options. At the moment, you cannot because you cannot afford it. In most cases, you cannot even get a doctor to tell you how much it will cost you to see a doctor. You can get billed later, but for most basic care, you have no idea what the costs will be upfront even if you wanted to pay cash. In any case, the Obama appears to wanted to make healthcare more affordable so you can chose because nothing, bankruptcy and death are not real options.

No, nobody calls it the "The Affordable Health Care Act". For better or worse it is called "Obamacare". Regardless, that is that does not answer the question. I think it is a fact that President Obama is in favor of greater government oversight of health care. I just think it was a hypocritical way to react to Akin's insane statement. Cheers.
