Solar Powered Whatever

Okay, so we can't run passengers jets on solar power. I gather it's not about that, it's about lateral thinking. Solar power can be used for so many things we haven't even looked at before. Here's an idea that pops into my head.

What about security cameras in small "model" airplanes, solar-powered, set to circle over an area that needs to be watched continuously, or just for a while. Helicopters would be too obvious, too noisy, and require manpower to fly them. A little solar power drone with a TV camera, circling silently, looking like somebody's toy (if it's seen at all), sending what it "sees" back to a base far enough away not to be visible from the site under surveillance. Hmmm. Works for me.

Now, what can YOU think of? What pops into your head?

Using solar energy to power my toaster after I cut myself off from the grid and barricade myself on my survivalist ranch to keep away from the feds.

Also, I know this is controversial and hotly debated, but I just have to go ahead and say it. Some people think it might actually be a good idea to power things like indoor lighting, heating and air conditioning with solar energy. It's sick pagan thinking, I know, but there's all kinds out there.

After all, it's not like anyone's ever made weapons of mass destruction out of any other kinds of fuel we use, or used them to power vehicles of war. People just don't get how solar power undermines our great democracy.

Amen. And there's nothing wrong with "pagan" thinking. I often refer to myself as a "born-again pagan."

Scarabrae, the surveillance community is on it already.

But, some of us prefer not living in a dystopian, Orwellian world.
