Jesus Christ, that's not newsworthy. Give me a friggin' break
I would beg to differ. It's not terribly often that an "above the fray" challenger to an incumbent President is able to prevent the President from being re-nominated unanimously, especially someone in a position likewise to that of Randall Terry, who holds views outside his party's precedent on a significant issue. While it's unlikely to spark a significant shift in his party's sentiment on abortion, it's an interesting read to those like myself who follow the presidential election.
By-and-large this may not be of interest to you, however more information on how US elections work is of-interest worldwide. Not to mention, although only in a single state, seeing a challenger to the incumbent take 18% of the vote in the electoral college system.
