United Kingdom hit by snow storms
Appearance
Sunday, March 12, 2006
Snow storms and strong winds have disrupted travel around much of Scotland, northern England and parts of Wales. The storms follow earlier unseasonal snow storms on March 2. Snow is relatively unusual in March in the United Kingdom. As snow fell on a Sunday, schools have not been disrupted as they would be closed anyway, but many businesses have been forced to remain closed.
