Welcome[edit]

69.23.220.138, welcome to Wikinews! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! → CGorman (Talk) 19:11, 17 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Don't give up that easily! Do not underestimate the effect you yourself can have on the place. The hopes you state on your userpage are exactly the same as mine. They are tough goals but we can do it. And we need people like you to achieve it! Dan100 (Talk) 22:55, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Your comments about Wikinews are entirely valid, and most long-time contributors would agree with you. However, I encourage you to stick around anyway. The more competent people who contribute to Wikinews, the closer it will get to being what we all want it to be.

Also, are you an Aussie?
