Quick

[edit]

I see the site, though it's not rendering too great in Opera. Usable though, and no error messages!

BTW, why aren't you wathcing Live 8? Mind you, it is Elton John right now... Dan100 (Talk) 2 July 2005 14:07 (UTC)

I am watching live 8 - i've a tv beside the computer (althought im listening more than watching!). I asked the same question on irc - same answer. I think my ip's been blocked from that website. What you using oprea for - spread firefox! → CGorman (Talk) July 2, 2005 14:11 (UTC)
I've been meaning to write a blog post about that actually, must get round to it... basically though it's a lot faster and doesn't suck my computer dry of memory - I've consigned Firefox to the bin! Dan100 (Talk) 2 July 2005 14:13 (UTC)

I started print-screening then realised that I couldn't get all the places because the results come up in a little scroll box thing, so I copied the text and mailed you it - I think it's legible! I did all the bold ones, will do the others if I get the chance Dan100 (Talk) 2 July 2005 14:49 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome!

An invitation...

[edit]

I'm attempting to start up a new edition of Wikinews, one with a simpler user contributions system at m:Wikinews/Start a new edition#Open English. The goals of this project would be to simplify the process of submitting articles such that anyone with no knowledge of the Mediawiki software or the Wikimedia projects culture can easily understand and submit an article, and immediately see it on the main page developing articles section.

If you would be interested in supporting this project I would be pleased if you would sign up at the Meta page.

Welcommittee

[edit]

your diff here made me think of this: http://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:MYOB&diff=0&oldid=84651. 1) You know Davodd beat you to {hello} by like, months, not weeks, right? (just jabbing at you) 2) I'm wondering which people are notably active on the welcomittee? You, Davodd, CraigSpurrier, others? (I dont know). I do know that there's a list of people who've shown interest in the welcomittee, but I know not all of those people are very active...so who's shown exceptional enthusiasm in the group? ----RossKoepkeTalk 21:52, 31 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
