Photo placement on main page[edit]

Mxn, I appreciate your striving for consistency with Wikipedia for image placement, but the change you made, to right float the main page image instead of letting it stand alone with a break, is causing the text to be extremely narrow if the user's window is around the standard sizes of 800 to 1024 pixels wide.

Please try resizing your window to one of those sizes (if you are on Windows, you can use the Display control panel to set your monitor resolution as a guide) and let me know if you would be agreeable to going back to the previous image placement style, or if you have a better idea to solve this image placement issue.

One other alternative would be to use a style that at least allowed the text to wrap to the full paragraph width once the text reached the bottom edge of the image, but I don't see any examples of this in the Picture tutorial.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot for taking a look at the image placement again. By the way, is there a way to standardize any of this with a style sheet so authors don't need to remember how to keep the formatting? --DV 08:08, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)
