Welcome[edit]

RingtailedFox, welcome to Wikinews! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!--Umapathy 06:56, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template namespace[edit]

Could you please move the template you use on your user page out of the template namespace and into your user space? Thanks! --Brian McNeil / talk 16:49, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

should let you do it. Just put your old username, the one you want, and the reason.  Thunderhead  ►  23:55, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's usually slower, but your account has been renamed by Cspurrier.  Thunderhead  ►  00:01, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please also rename all of your sub-pages. FellowWikiNewsie 00:02, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I hope I did a better job this time. The sale is not conditional on these terms. Cerberus has already agreed to these conditions. First, I thought the Hargrave statements explained that, but now I have spelled it out a bit more. --SVTCobra 01:44, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I did not know that was from a different source. If i'm able to find a different source for that image, would be be possible to reuse it? or are those types of images not allowed on wikinews? RingtailedFox - (talk) 19:44, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We cannot use images from other news organizations. Sorry. Amateur photographs can be used if they are released under a license that is cc-by or freer. Cheers, --SVTCobra 20:04, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
