Business Briefs

[edit]

Then I'm just gonna start :). Really nice job on the Business Briefs, I appreciate that. --Deprifry|+T+ 14:09, 8 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Maybe we should put them in a category as there is going to be more of them presumably. Bawolff ☺☻ 00:53, 15 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Good Work, looking good! Maybe we should think of a cooler title. Business Brief for December 15, 2005 sounds kind of boaring. Bawolff ☺☻ 04:52, 15 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

We could have some sort of logo specificly on bussiness briefs. (similiar to the aim of template:Issues that never caught on)
I struggled with the title when I decided to start Business Briefs. I'm open to suggestions. "Events in Busines for x y, z"? "The market in brief for x y, z"? I don't know. I hesitate to try various ones as it might cause confusion if I were to change the title constantly. If something witty and clever is thought up I will use it though. As for the graphic template, I'll work on it and see what I can think up. --Sfullenwider 23:36, 15 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

My humble apologies to the community. At work my ultimate boss has decided that our project needs to be a few days ahead so the company can get a draw off of the contract. This means I had to work straight through the weekend. I'm far too tired to create any Business Briefs today 12-18-2005 (and was yesturday 12-17-2005). I'll make one for the 20th, I promise. --Sfullenwider 04:50, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Why the change from "Business Briefs" to "Business Brief"? Most of these contain more than one entry, so they are "briefs", ala http://www.techbriefs.com/ (refering to multi-entry technology issues, not hi-tech undergarments). Karen 00:41, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

I changed the title because someone complained that Briefs refered to men's underwear. I havn't written any in that style since the creation of the {{expand}} tag. If article generation gets to the point where we have a "below the fold" I may make a template to generate briefs of articles for that purpose. --Sfullenwider 01:54, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Interviews

[edit]

How do you set out your e-mails (i.e. What info do you add about wikinews) when you request a interview? Thanks Brian New Zealand 08:19, 7 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Depends on if I know them or not :) If I don't know them I tell them that I'm a citizen journalist who wants to interview them for an article that I intend to publish on Wikinews. I add citizen journalist in the, perhaps naive, hope that this will pique their interest as it's relatively rare. It is against policy to say that you are from Wikinews directly but I still want to use the name to make it more of a household word. --Sfullenwider 23:41, 7 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

I would like to get in contact with Frank Warren, do you have an email address?

perhaps its simple

[edit]

pov is simply a slimey brain coating that is the result of cultural/parental/governmental brainwashing/programming; it begins with Santa Claus and pledges of allegiances and ends with $5,000. steel lined walnut caskets and it has nothing to do with reality whatsoever. Reality is like our dreams and nightmares; much more beautiful and evil than most of us can deal with in a conscious state. Perhaps the pov is like tv; something to just distract us from the things we should be doing in life. All we have to do is turn the fuckin thing off. Neutralizer 04:55, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

just bust into a hundred million pieces laughing ! :) -Edbrown05 05:36, 14 March 2006 (UTC) Actually , I thought it was a serious post (still laughing) !Reply
By way of explanation, and I shouldn't probably venture here, your point on Neutralizer's talk page was well meaning and I am sure he took it so. His reply was ... well, that's Neut! -Edbrown05 05:54, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
It didn't occur to me to take it any other way until you posted that. If I were drunk, or really pissed off, that's how I'd explain POV. --Sfullenwider 02:21, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I just saw that you said you're intreasted in Bizz so I thought you might whish to add the category to your userpage. Bawolff ☺☻ 05:18, 25 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm very sorry

[edit]

There is not a policy prohibiting one from editing a userpage, but I consider it quite rude nonetheless, and am very sorry. It was a careless accident, I thought I was looking at a quiet talk page. I'll go read the rest of your post now. StrangerInParadise 00:14, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rfda

[edit]

This is a message to inform you that I have added every administrator to the Rfda section on WN:A. This is not personal and I feel as if the community, who did not have the option of voting for or against most of the administrators, should be able to choose who they want to be in charge. I also want to say that I value everyones work on this site and I know that everyone does their best. I hope that none of you will take this personally and I hope that all of us will continue to work together. Jason Safoutin 12:18, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Accreditation Expiration

[edit]

Greetings, I wanted to let you know that our policy regarding accreditation has recently changed slightly. Specifically we've enacted an automatic expiration of accreditation after 2 years. You can very easily "re-up" your accreditation should you choose to, but at this point in time you're on the Inactive list. As such your accreditation will automatically be revoked on March 15th unless you request otherwise. Currently, posting to the following thread will keep your accreditation. At a later date, all Accredited reporters will be put in for that "re-up", at which time you'll be notified. Thank you, and should you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 20:31, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
