Thanks for all you've done: its just great! However, as to the portals, I would suggest a single drop down box with all of the categories and articles. I liked last year's side bar, but that really doesn't matter. However, I just like being able to see all articles and events at once, without looking through each individual portal. What you've been doing is just great. Star Garnet (talk) 04:05, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the input. I'm not sure how I would fit all the portals on the main page in the open state. I've actually been tossing around ideas to just change them all to links instead of pop open category view, that way I can include more portals (like the ones I removed from the top). I can't tinker around with the portals until I get an OK about how that will break the RSS feed. Eventually though... --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 19:50, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. Likewise, I like the reorganised Main Page. A little question, though: what's with the snow graphic on Template:Main page header? Where I am, it's forecast to hit over 30°C (86°F) today. (For that matter, the Year of the Ox graphic is technically not right yet either, since the Chinese New Year follows the lunar calendar and doesn't switch over until the 26th this year.) Chris Mann (Say hi!|Stalk me!) 00:29, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've been changing the header to include seasonally appropriate icon's. The snow icon is one of those. Also if I got the details correct, the Japanese follow the same zodiac calendar, but have their new years on the first. Therefor it is more or less correct. Regardless, I've taken down the new year icon's since it is the 4th. I'll probably do something for chinese new years (and probably other holidays... because it is fun). And if you happen to have suggestions for holidays or graphics, feel free to leave em. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 02:03, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's fair enough about the ox, but the "seasonally appropriate" weather icons are actually only seasonally appropriate for half the world (less, if you consider people living near the tropics). You might get some ideas for other things to include at en.wp's "Selected Anniversaries" list. Chris Mann (Say hi!|Stalk me!) 00:39, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It is true that a snowman isn't exactly "Winter" for say someone in the Southern hemisphere, but at least they understand. If I put up a palm frawn, which appropriate, no one would understand. At the same time, putting up a Menorah, Xmas tree & Kwanza candles don't properly represent all the worlds religions... but... It isn't a perfect system. I'm just trying to spice things up a little, and give people something new to look at once in a while. I make no guarantee's that everyone will be equally represented, heck, I don't even guarantee that everyone will approve. But, we gotta enjoy ourselves a little bit here and there. If someone wants to suggest something for the islamic holidays, I'm all for it. I know nothing about them... but they can play along too. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 02:45, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Romeo Sierra

You have been including the phrase or name "Romeo Sierra" in your reviews as a comment. I don't know why you are doing this, but it seems inappropriate. The closest match I have found is some singer that has a MySpace page. I suggest you explain or stop doing it. Insider jokes are not a good reason either. --SVTCobra 02:04, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You would prefer if I wrote Sierra Tango Foxtrot Uniform instead? Seriously though, if you don't know what "Romeo Sierra" means, I suggest you ask politely or you Shut The Fuck Up. I would have told you politely that Romeo Sierra is a internal code that _I_ use for _MY_ reference because they are _MY_ comment sections and _I_ can write what ever the hell _I_ want. If I had something intelligent to write back to the writers, I would. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I write nothing at all.
In conclusion. I suggest you get the fuck off your high horse or get the fuck out of dodge. KTHXBAI. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 05:10, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My best guess is Rubber Stamping[1]. Am I close? --InfantGorilla (talk) 09:05, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So, are you saying that you are undermining the editorial process by issuing rubber stamp reviews? --SVTCobra 13:11, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are far worse articles he could have passed if that was his intent. --InfantGorilla (talk) 21:46, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
