re:Congrats

Thank you! Since I know the languages Spanish and Portuguese only from listening, it makes me especially proud.

Concerning your recommendation: Do you know a link, where I could listen to - in the best case of course - the very same news in one of these languages. Since I don´t speak them, it is "a bit" difficult to know, whether I´ve got the right link. :-) To "hit" the right pronounciation, I have to hear it, otherwise I can´t copy the sound.

When you write to me the "l" sounds a bit like a "u" in Sul and Capital, then - of course - I´ve got a "problem". Because the "u" is - for example - very differently pronounced in different parts of the England (and I mean England, not the UK). In Sheffield, it sounds like the "u" I pronounce, when I speak German, in Penzance it sounds completely different.

Wow, ... difficult ... especially, since I have only the sound of the one letter. But I´ve tried it nonetheless.

Please allow me another question. Is this u-sounded L always pronounced like this in Portuguese, or has this to do with the fact, that in both words a vowel is standing in front of the L?

In case you are now putting your hands on your ears, please be straight forward. If I did not hit the sound properly, I´ll just find someone from Brazil or Portugal over here and ask them. I´m sure this should be possible.

Ok, I guess, I completely missed the point. :-))

Thanks for the recording! I suppose, I could copy the name "Mato Grosso do Sul", and even the "da Capital" in "Primeiro Comando da Capital", but I´m lost concerning copying the proper pronounciation of "Primeiro Comando". I guess, I have to learn Portuguese first, to do that properly. But still, I´m going to try, and try, and try ... ;-)

BTW, it sounds really beautiful. Alas! Another language to learn. Sooner or later I´m getting to old for this.
