Comments
[edit]- Comment Accreditation via Wikinews, and The Wikinewsie Group (TWG), is specifically for contributing to Wikinews projects. I don't want to criticize your English, it's a million miles better than my Arabic. However, a quick look at Arabic Wikinews shows the site's top lead is from 2013.
- There's no doubt you're a contributor in good standing elsewhere; but, until such time as the WMF lets us proceed with legally setting up TWG, we can't work on the more-complex issues of getting governments to recognise journalists and photographers who contribute to Wikimedia projects.
- So, at the moment, I'm not in a position to offer a confident support vote. Sorry. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:56, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment So, is it your intention to contribute mostly to Arabic Wikinews or English Wikinews? Just wondering...... --Bddmagic (talk) 16:09, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Comment my intention will be in both of them , but the most will be Arabic Wikinews --Mohamed Ouda (talk) 08:11, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- Oppose I'm going to have to vote 'No' at this time. I've come to learn that (outside of the U.S.) accreditation by a body is a bigger deal than it is here for us Yanks. OK....that's cool....I can understand that. But certainly, you could at least put up one or two simple articles over at AR Wikinews and then trans-wiki them here in English so we can at least judge the style of writing you're capable of.....just one or two simple articles maybe?? Even a couple of synthesis articles or something of that ilk? --Bddpaux (talk) 14:59, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
