Well, I guess I'll nominate myself. I've been involved for some months now in Wikimedia, mainly on en:Wikipedia (en:User:Lankiveil) and ga:Wikipedia (ga:Úsáideoir:Lankiveil). I also hang around Wikipedia-L a fair bit. In terms of Wikinews, I voted "yes" early, and I've been here pretty much since I first saw the announcement of this demo. I've authored a few articles, and followed the early formulation of policy closely.
If chosen to serve, my prime area of interest, at least at present, would be to ensure that all articles get a timely review. Eloquence is doing a fantastic job, of course, but it's a pretty big job, and as Wikinews becomes more and more successful, it's only going to get bigger. I'm also outside the US/EU sphere of influence geographically, so I'll be able to look at things that might get overlooked while the North Americans/Europeans are off in bed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lankiveil (talk • contribs) 05:10, 20 November 2004
- I haven't seen any problems caused by lack of administrators yet. If I'm not missing some problem, I think we should wait to draw from a larger community. --119 04:30, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Withdraw objection as vandalism has been not-infrequent after the Wired mention. --119 03:26, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
