No articles were promoted to featured status during the last fortnight. The current number of featured articles stands at 13, which can be seen here.
There are currently five candidates for featured article status. The three most recently-nominated are:-
- Wikinews investigates Wikipedia usage by U.S. Senate staff members, nominated on May 23, 2007.
- Pope John Paul II dies, nominated on May 19, 2007
- Smoke from massive warehouse fire in Buffalo, New York USA can be seen 40 miles away, nominated on May 16, 2007.
All Wikinews contributors are encouraged to give their input on these five candidates, to improve the acknowledgement of the best Wikinews has to offer. The five current nominations can be viewed here.
