I removed this un-sourced story from the shorts:

Iranian President Announces Nuclear Status

ABC News Online reported on April 10, 2007 that the Iranian President made several recent announcements on the progress of an industrial nuclear program in Iran. Mahmoud Ahmedimajad stated very clearly that the nuclear program would proceed despite the efforts of other countries to inhibit Iran's progress.

The Iranian President's statements were made even while Iran appears to be taking a non-cooperative stance towards UN sanctions on Iran's nuclear program. It is not clear at this point if Iran's nuclear facilities could be used to enrich weapons-grade uranium. Rising tensions in the Persian Gulf are not easily ignored, given the recent deployment of three US aircraft carriers to the area.

According to the Navy's online news bulletins, the USS Nimitz will arrive in the Persian Gulf in a few days. USS Eisenhower and USS Stennis are already in the Persian Gulf. USS Harry Truman recently hosted Australian dignitaries, in order to demonstrate to US allies how carrier and aircraft operations are coordinated. The USS Ronald Reagan completed maritime security training operations in the South China Sea during March 2007. Each of these carrier strike forces have crews exceeding 2,000, in addition to airwing personnel of at least 1,800, according to Navy News updates.

I searched ABC News but could not find it. --SVTCobra 23:13, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Can Iran announcement article be made OK

[edit]

The article is written by Junebaby, and there were many links available as sources, but I don't know how to conform to your syntax yet. Sorry I did not sign it. Can I or someone else improve and/or edit it to get it up to standards? I am trying to bring up some valid points that I have seen in many news sources. Can the aritcle be put back into news shorts if the syntax is brought up to speed (linked sources, etc...)

Either copy the layout someone else has used, the template is {{sources}}, or just put links like http://www.example.com. Someone will check them and fix them, and then you can see how to do it. --Brian McNeil / talk 14:58, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
