Wings over Houston Airshow comes to town

The 21st Annual Wings Over Houston Airshow, featuring the Snowbirds will open October 8-9th at Ellington Field. Gates will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for static displays. Aerial performances begin at about 10 a.m., though times are subject to change.
Aerial performances are often visible from two or three miles away, and simulated weapons fire can be heard from even farther. The performances scheduled include flybys of an F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter, B1-B Lancer bomber, and A-10 Warthog tank-killer, several aerobatics performances, and ground-based demonstrations of various aircraft.
General admission at the gate is $20 for adults, $5 for children 6-11. Children under 6 are free.
