Journalist Gebran Tueni murdered

In an incident that may have long-term repercussions for the relationship between Lebanon and Syria, the death of anti-Syrian MP and journalist Gebran Tueni's has been marked by protests.

Tueni's death was marked with the closure of shops, schools and universities throughout Beiruit.
