The race result left Harvick leading the Driver's Championship with 3,400 points, and gave him a position in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
It was his fourteenth career victory in the US's leading professional stock car series. His previous victory came during the 2010 Coke Zero 400. The race had a total of five cautions and nineteen lead changes among nine different drivers. Biffle led the most laps by leading sixty-seven. In the point standings, Harvick and Gordon remained in the first and second position, and Hamlin moved into the third position as Stewart moved to fourth. Jimmie Johnson, Edwards, Jeff Burton, and Kyle Busch followed in the top eight points positions. Kenseth moved into to the ninth position, as Kurrt Busch fell to tenth.
