Kevin Harvick wins fourteenth career NASCAR Sprint Cup race

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick won his third race of the season after leading sixty laps on Sunday during the 2010 Carfax 400 race at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. The race result left Harvick leading the Driver's Championship with 3,400 points, and gave him a position in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

It was his fourteenth career victory in the US's leading professional stock car series. His previous victory came during the 2010 Coke Zero 400.

Denny Hamlin finished in the second position, ahead of Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle in third and fourth, respectively. Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Juan Pablo Montoya, Martin Truex, Jr., Elliott Sadler, and Joey Logano rounded out the top ten positions. The race had a total of five cautions and nineteen lead changes among nine different drivers. Biffle led the most laps by leading sixty-seven.

In the point standings, Harvick and Gordon remained in the first and second position, and Hamlin moved into the third position as Stewart moved to fourth. Jimmie Johnson, Edwards, Jeff Burton, and Kyle Busch followed in the top eight points positions. Kenseth moved into to the ninth position, as Kurt Busch fell to tenth. Biffle and Clint Bowyer rounded out the top twelve, and are currently in the Chase.
