L'Abbé Pierre dies at 94 in France

L'Abbé Pierre

L'Abbé Pierre died this night at 5:25 a.m. local time at the French military Hospital Val de Grâce in Paris. The Catholic priest was well known in France since his 1954 call for the poor and the homeless. He founded the Emmaüs charity organisation. Pierre is widely regarded as one of the most loved French people.
