The January 8 submarine accident has left one sailor dead, the U.S. Navy has said. The Los Angeles class nuclear submarine, the USS San Francisco ran aground about 260km south of the island of Guam. The sailor, whose name cannot be released while relatives are being informed, died onboard the submarine after failed attempts at treatment. Of the crew of 137, Twenty-three other crew members are being treated for broken bones, bruises, and lacerations.
