  • The WSJ article is behind a paywall; as a practical matter I can't read it as required for review, and as a matter of policy Wikinews prohibits pay-to-read sources. (WSJ is chancy to use, as some of its articles aren't paywalled; which is not as bad as NYT, which paywalls all its articles.)
  • Argh! I really thought this was likely to be a pretty straightforward review leading to a publication, till I hit the paywall.

I have added sources to the article.[edit]

I am sorry about this issue. Where I live (Australia) the WSJ article is not behind a paywall, so I had no idea this would be a problem. I will keep this in mind before using WSJ for future stories. I have added some additional sources to my article. Let me know if there is anything else I need to fix. Thank you for your help. TimothyToxUOW (talk)

I'm not sure, but I suspect WSJ and NYT may both reserve their paywalls for IPs in North America. Alas, I am in North America; and although I realize it's possible to get around such things by using a proxy outside NA, that would be systematically bypassing the measure they've taken because they think it'll make them money, and while I might not approve of paywalls I've certainly sympathy for their desire to make a living. --Pi zero (talk) 00:39, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]


Ok then, sorry again about the paywall issue. I have removed the WSJ article from my list of sources and found two other sources to verify my article. Let me know if there is anything else I need to fix up. Thanks again. TimothyToxUOW
