Notes[edit]

I confirm that I was indeed present there.

Video confirming the content of the first quote (the words spoken are fully recorded in the text of the quote): https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Вишневская_Е._Б._(фрагмент_речи).webm
Video confirming the content of the second quote (the quoted words start from the 21st second): https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Пинчук_В._В._(фрагмент_речи).webm Виктор Пинчук (talk) 17:57, 5 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I had to cut the Ru24 source, as you were listed as its author, so citing it would be circular sourcing, which isn't workable. That was apparently the only source that verified the focal event — the presentation — actually happened, rather than referring to it as a future event (in a pinch, having just one source to verify the focal event actually happened alongside at least one that "strongly anticipates" it may be acceptable, but that isn't currently the situation here). I would prefer if you expanded the OR notes above, though — there's a rule of thumb that it's better to provide more documentation (like videos or notes) than is needed. Two short videos (links above) confirm that the event really took place. Виктор Пинчук (talk) 06:40, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think taken together all these will work. Thanks. Heavy Water (talk) 18:06, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

The virtual photo exhibition lasted for an hour. The event was attended by 12 people. Unfortunately, few people are interested in the topic of the history of Mesoamerica, and besides, it was late, so it was not possible to gather a larger number of listeners. The Chairman of the Russian Historical Society was also not present, despite my requests: he was in Alushta, where the “Night of Arts” was also held at the local history museum. Виктор Пинчук (talk) 15:05, 14 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

There are only two videos: I did not film anything unnecessary, setting out to visually confirm the quotes used in the text. But doesn’t my photo report confirm that the event happened? Description added.

(quote).
Indeed, these two words are present here. What is the problem? Виктор Пинчук (talk) 09:41, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

In the Borisovna video, what I hear at 0:16 doesn't sound like время and what I hear at 0:38 to 0:40 doesn't sound like жертвоприношениях. Heavy Water (talk) 19:04, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Actually I just rewatched the video and it sounds like this is an accurate transcription. It was late at night. Sorry to waste your time. Heavy Water (talk) 05:21, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

for some time — на какое-то время; cruel in sacrifices — жестоких в жертвоприношениях
I am a native Russian speaker. Виктор Пинчук (talk) 09:54, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

It is at these intervals of time (0.16 and 0.38) that the words “время” and “жертвоприношениях” are heard. Other words would not make sense there. Let someone else listen if my statement is not enough.Виктор Пинчук (talk)
"...осуществленной экспедиции..." The Russian language is much more difficult than English.
"...осуществленной экспедицию..." — this can only be said by a small child who does not go to school yet, but not by the deputy director for scientific work. :-) Виктор Пинчук (talk) 12:53, 18 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ah, OK. Thanks. Heavy Water (talk) 17:22, 18 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'll try to get to this while it's fresh, but there's another article on the review queue that demands my attention more urgently since it doesn't have original reporting and thus would lose freshness faster. Heavy Water (talk) 20:23, 30 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Vishnevskaya is Russian family name.

Yeah, so it would be "Elena Borisovna Vishnevskaya", wouldn't it? Heavy Water (talk) 16:23, 21 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ok, but "Elena Borisovna Vishnevskaya" and "Vishnevskaya Elena Borisovna" it is similar, no different. Виктор Пинчук (talk) 06:09, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
The Night of the Arts is an annual cultural and educational event. (source:: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ночь_искусств )
"In the frameworks" & "as part" it is similar.
This is not a Wikipedia article, but regular news. Why such scrupulousness? Виктор Пинчук (talk) 12:28, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
We can't use Wikipedia as a source, though we can potentially use its sources. I treated this as OR, anyways. In this case, I think "as part" could suggest the museums coordinate this, which I wasn't sure of. Besides, I think the new wording is clearer. Heavy Water (talk) 18:57, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Abandoned?[edit]

or stale??? MissedJetliner (talk) 22:02, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

What exactly do you mean? Виктор Пинчук (talk) 12:28, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Is the story stale or abandoned? It's been some time no one works on. MissedJetliner (talk) 12:30, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
The events took place on November 4; the news was posted by me on November 5 (the next day). Other questions is to an uninvolved reviewer (one not substantially involved in writing the article). Виктор Пинчук (talk) 12:38, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Not being worked on does not automatically make an article abandoned; see the documentation at {{abandoned}}. Going by the dates provided in the article, this is neither stale nor abandoned. Heavy Water (talk) 14:22, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay. MissedJetliner (talk) 16:19, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
