image appropriate?[edit]

i recall reading something to the effect that the meat products did not go to supermarket shelves, but to "private sales" or something to that effect. if this is the case, then the image on template:Lead shld be changed as it is misleading. –Doldrums(talk) 06:56, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image is of a shelf of pet food in a supermarket.--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 12:33, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
hmmm, that's not very apparent from the thumbnail image. to me, the combination of headline and image gives the impression that contaminated (human) food items are on supermarket shelves, which i vaguely remember, a public official took pains to explicitly disabuse. –Doldrums(talk) 14:45, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I looked for an alternative, for example an image of a pig, but it didn't seem very appropriate on the main page...--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 15:51, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
how about this? –Doldrums(talk) 15:56, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Much better than my original idea !--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 16:07, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
